Musically, with big guns like Mala living there, and selectors like Bunzer0 representing you really can’t go wrong with thier output (even if my only experience of dubstep in Belgium was a brief flurry of wobble from Caspa and Rusko being played in an urban streetwear shop in Bruges).

So with the deep and soulful in mind, I present to you “The Walton Hoax” – by their reconing, “a laidback mix of 2-step, dubstep and UKG” – in my eyes, I see enjoyable headphone electronica that clearly takes influence from most of the deep artists that have been thrown about in the last few years.

“The project started mid 2010 as a remix collaboration between the two founding artists. Singer/songwriter Peter Vanek had written some songs, and asked producer infraBuse to give them a makeover. At the first couple of finished tracks, they were so happy with the result of their labor, that they started a separate project, and called it “The Walton Hoax”. The name wass inspired by 90′s science fiction film “Fire In The Sky”, based upon the true story of a UFO abduction.”

Far from me to follow trends or jump on any sort of bandwagon, but what caught my attention was the 15,000 odd views they’d had within the first couple of weeks of having it on YouTube. Aside from wanting a shot at whatever promotion tacitcs they used, I was keen to hear the track causing the fuss:

Certainly a lovely track, and something I think many people could enjoy.
