Echodub have just released their new (13th) EP in the form of DFRNT‘s Weapon 2010.
The original Weapon track was originally released back in 2008 on “Insectmind” and has since been brought up to date, and given a reworking. THere’s also a second version with a bit more in the way of beats. You can grab both versions at the new Echodub Bandcamp, or from Echodub’s website.
So far I’ve only heard clips on Soundcloud but I’ve got all excited about the forthcoming release from Pushing Red.
You NEED to check this out…

I’m all up for free music, and so as soon as I was told about Bojcot Selectah’s U Know EP, I made a point of grabbing it right away.
I’d suggest you do the same. Immediately!
I think I mentioned Stoke Audio a while back, and I’m fairly sure I mentioned that they were looking very promising indeed – and now, as if to confirm my words with a seal of approval, I present to you STOKE005 – by Skyence.
The German producer has been on my radar for a long time now, and his output is consistently excellent. This release proves no different. His work is crystal clear, fusing serene bleeps and tight beats round a mutating bassline in “Millions Of Miles” – with The Next’s remix providing a more uptempo version with extra goodness. “String Theory” is a marginally more blissed out affair, but with some great beat-work and a real groove to get yourself stuck in.
STOKE005 is a fantastic look at what the label and Skyence can offer – I’d urge you to not only check this, but previous releases and also previous work by Skyence. His gleaming portfolio of tracks demonstrate a huge ability to produce over a number of speeds, and with a number of styles.
I’ve just been sent this and I had to post it. not only is it a great track, but it’s an ace video. Check it…

Brainchild of German producer and DJ TKR, Stoke Audio is a new digital label focusing on deep and tech-influenced dubstep.
With vinyl planned for the future, and some really nice artwork/identity – I expect you’ll be hearing and seeing more from Stoke Audio in the near future.
Already boasting one free EP and a regular digital release – with three more planned, it would seem that Thomas Schwarz is pretty serious about making it all work.
I’ll let the music do the talking, but I’m certain you won’t be disappointed!

Bringing his unique variation of percussion-smattered twisted melodic elements and deep basslines, Autopilot delivers a cracking new EP called “The Idealist”
It’s a “pay what you like” affair – with no minimum purchase, so it’s just on your conscience to hook the guy up with some sheets!
The highlight for me was “The End” with it’s hypnotic bassdrum, punching through the track, but all of the tracks are well produced and enjoyable in their own respect. As a package, this manages to highlight the Philadelphia based producer’s range of talent. If Autopilot isn’t a household name (in the dubstep world) by the end of this year, I’ll eat my hat. And his hat. And your hat too.
It’s been a while since a dubstep release has really pushed me far enough to need to post about it here – which in a way is a shame, but also a testament to the quality of Openearz Recordings’ newest EP from Dom Hz.
Not content with putting out incredible releases from Indigo, xxxy and Synkro, they have called upon yet another Mancunian Dom Hz to fulfill the latest delight.

The release is pure aural pleasure. From the abyssal “Mist” with it’s synth-led intro and epic drop in to sub laden territory, through Elevator Skank, with it’s rolling organ vibes, piano and vocal snippets, to the super-loved-up “Without You” doing for dubstep, what Herbal Essences did for shampoo.
If ever there was a release to get for a Valentines gig – this was it!
